The word is formed from two parts (Pali root sañjānana / sañjānāti):
Saṃ (සං) – Together, thoroughly, or completely
Jñā / Jānāti (ජානාති) – To know, observe, or understand
Literally, it means "knowing completely".
Upul Sir's explaination: "Sanjāna refers to an integrated or gathered understanding. Rather than an analytical mind that divides and dissects, it represents the wisdom that holds everything together."
